Increasing Spiritual Awareness in Daily Life from an Islamic Perspective
Abstract
In an Islamic perspective, increasing awareness of spirituality in daily life can involve several aspects. Awareness in spirituality is not only limited to religious aspects but will also involve all other spiritual values in daily life. Such as aspects of the heart, intellect, mind and so on. The purpose of this study is to find out how to increase spirituality awareness in daily life. The method used in this study is an exploratory-oriented qualitative research method that seeks to analyze research problems from reading sources by applying content analysis. Researchers use qualitative research to review the results of previous research and to interpret a phenomenon scientifically. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation techniques from various journals, proceedings, online news, and relevant books. The result of this research is that with the awareness of spirituality in daily life, individuals will be able to face various forms of life challenges in the modern era with a more positive attitude and remain in line with religious values. The conclusion of this study is to show that awareness of spirituality in Islam is one way to improve the quality of life and increase understanding of the essence of life. The limitation in this study is the lack of data availability in analyzing the awareness of spirtuality in daily life from an Islamic perspective. The researcher’s hope for the next researcher is that the next researcher can further develop and explain in detail the importance of spirituality awareness in daily life.
