Analysis of Avoiding the Impact of Child Grooming in the Digital Space

The purpose of this study was to examine the phenomenon of child grooming in the digital environment, factors that increase the likelihood of children becoming victims, the effects, the role of digital literacy in prevention, and methods to protect children from the impacts of child grooming. The method used was a literature review by reviewing various books, scientific articles, research reports, and relevant academic sources on child grooming and child protection in the digital space. The results showed that with the development of social media, instant messaging applications, and other digital platforms, the number of child grooming cases increased. Low digital literacy, lack of parental supervision, and high intensity of internet use are all factors that contribute to children's vulnerability. The results include social disruption, psychological trauma, and threats to children's privacy and data security. It is evident that digital literacy is crucial for improving the ability of children, parents, and educators to identify and address threats. Furthermore, protecting families, schools, governments, and digital platform providers is crucial for creating a safe online environment for children. To strengthen child protection in the digital era, this study demonstrates that preventing child grooming requires a collaborative and sustainable approach
