Perbedaan Strategi Coping Mahasiswa Laki-Laki dan Perempuan dalam Menghadapi Stres Akademik

stress akademik merupakan fenomena yang lazim dialami mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Tekanan untuk menyelesaikan tugas, mempersiapkan ujian, dan memenuhi tuntutan akademik lainnya dapat memicu stres yang berdampak pada kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi cara mahasiswa menghadapi stres adalah jenis kelamin. Artikel ini membahas perbedaan strategi coping antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan dalam menghadapi stres akademik berdasarkan kajian literatur dan hasil penelitian terkini. Pembahasan mencakup dua kategori utama strategi coping, yaitu problem-focused coping dan emotion-focused coping, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perbedaan tersebut. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa laki-laki cenderung menggunakan problem-focused coping, sementara mahasiswa perempuan lebih dominan menggunakan emotion-focused coping, meskipun temuan ini tidak selalu konsisten dan dipengaruhi oleh konteks budaya serta situasional.
