Using the content analysis method, this research examines the da'wah material presented and the effects on the da'wah material during the last three months. The research results show that the TikTok account @story'Islam presents three main categories in its preaching material, namely aqidah, sharia, and morals. These materials are packaged in attractive short video formats, use language that is easy to understand, and utilize social media trends to attract users' attention. Apart from that, this research also found that the effects of the da'wah content presented can be categorized into three aspects, namely cognitive, affective and behavioral effects. From a cognitive perspective, the audience experiences an increase in Islamic insight; affectively, some content evokes religious emotions, such as encouragement to repent; and behaviorally, there are changes in daily Islamic practices, such as increasing worship. Thus, this research confirms that social media platforms such as TikTok can be an effective means of spreading Islamic values, as long as the content is designed strategically and in accordance with the principles of da'wah.
Rozi, Refika Mastanora Copyright (c) 2026 Rozi, Refika Mastanora https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kinema/article/view/16546 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 FENOMENA KOMUNIKASI LONG DISTANCE MARRIAGE PADA PASANGAN YANG BEKERJA DI UIN MAHMUD YUNUS BATUSANGKAR https://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kinema/article/view/16547
The main problem in this thesis is communication dynamics in Long Distance Marriage among couples employed at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar, Indonesia, focusing on the processes and management strategies they employ to maintain their relationships. The primary aim is to analyze these interactions and coping mechanisms within this specific context. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study gathered data through observation, interviews, and documentation from affected couples, followed by analysis involving data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification, with source triangulation ensuring validity. Drawing on DeVito's (2013) interpersonal communication theory, key findings reveal five essential communication processes: leveraging technology, scheduling interactions, fostering transparency and honesty, addressing emotional challenges, and planning physical meetings. Management strategies include discussing conflicts, celebrating significant dates together, sharing nightly stories, setting common goals, and conducting ongoing evaluations and adjustments. However, couples encounter obstacles such as time constraints, communication barriers, and fatigue, alongside broader challenges like achieving work-life balance, providing emotional support, and facilitating career development.
Mutiara Lorenza, Mami Nofrianti Copyright (c) 2026 Mutiara Lorenza, Mami Nofrianti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kinema/article/view/16547 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 REPRESENTASI DISKRIMINASI RASIAL DALAM FILM BUMI MANUSIA: KAJIAN PERSPEKTIF ISLAM TENTANG KEADILAN SOSIAL https://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kinema/article/view/16548
The research problem in this study is how racial discrimination was carried out by the Dutch colonial government against the indigenous people as depicted in the film Bumi Manusia, and how racial discrimination is viewed from an Islamic perspective regarding social justice, especially as presented in the film Bumi Manusia. The purpose of this study is to examine the forms of racial discrimination in the film Bumi Manusia and how such discrimination is perceived from an Islamic perspective, particularly concerning social justice. This research is qualitative in nature, employing a content analysis approach. The techniques used are divided into three methods: observation, documentation, and literature review. The data that has been reduced is then classified or grouped so that it can be presented and conclusions can be drawn. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that out of 230 scenes, 35 scenes contain racial discrimination. Within these 35 scenes, there are 51 segments that depict racial discrimination in the film Bumi Manusia. The forms of racial discrimination presented include social discrimination, systematic discrimination, and institutional discrimination. Discrimination strongly contradicts Islamic values. Islam views all human beings as equal, with no distinction except for a person's piety. This equality is explained in the Qur’an in Surah Al-Hujurat verses 11 and 13, Surah Al-Isra’ verse 70, and Surah Al-Maidah verse 8. Furthermore, Islam also commands its followers to protect their wealth, as stated in the Qur’an in Surah An-Nisa’ verse 29. Positions in Islam are considered a trust (amanah) for a person, as explained in the Qur’an in Surah An-Nisa’ verse 58.
Desi Fitri Yeni, Andri Maijar Copyright (c) 2026 Desi Fitri Yeni, Andri Maijar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kinema/article/view/16548 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI DAKWAH PERSUASIF PRIMA DMI DALAM MEMBINA REMAJA MASJID DI NAGARI PANINGGAHAN KEC. As an integral part of the traditional wedding procession, the tradition embodies cultural values and rich symbolism. Within this context, Bundo Kanduang serves as the primary communicator, delivering customary messages through meaningful verbal expressions and symbolic non-verbal cues. The analysis employs Wilbur Schramm’s communication theory to examine verbal communication as a two-way process shaped by cultural background and personal experience, while Onong Uchjana Effendy’s framework is applied to assess non-verbal communication forms such as gestures, facial expressions, and traditional symbols. This qualitative field research utilized observation, interviews, and documentation, with source and method triangulation ensuring data validity. The findings reveal that verbal communication reflects local wisdom through distinctive traditional language, whereas non-verbal communication is conveyed through gestures, expressions, and symbolic objects. Both forms function not only to convey information but also to maintain social harmony, reinforce collective identity, and instill social and ethical values. Consequently, communication in the Bararak Samba 12 tradition serves as a vital medium for preserving Minangkabau cultural heritage.
Winda Utari Fitri, Syafriwaldi Copyright (c) 2026 Winda Utari Fitri, Syafriwaldi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/kinema/article/view/16551 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700
