The research uses a library research method by analyzing relevant primary and secondary sources. The findings reveal that Musthafa al-Siba’i refutes the notion of hadith forgery during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad and reaffirms the authenticity of the Sunnah through a historical and rational approach. Meanwhile, Muhammad Fuad Abdul Baqi made a major contribution to the field of takhrīj al-hadith through his works such as Al-Mu‘jam al-Mufahras li Alfādz al-Hadīth al-Nabawiy and Miftāh Kunūz al-Sunnah. Both figures play significant roles in revitalizing contemporary hadith studies with different yet complementary methodological orientations.
2025-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Sulaiman Hasyim, Muhammad Ilyashttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/lathaif/article/view/15904Fenomena Mengemis Online: Analisis Perspektif Hadis tentang Etika Kerja dan Larangan Mengemis2025-12-04T11:41:30+07:00Fijrah Hayati Alisfijrah.hayati.alis@uinib.ac.idDuski Samadduskisamad60@gmail.comFirdaus Sutan Mamadfirdaus_mamad@uinib.ac.id
The development of digital technology has given rise to a new phenomenon in the form of online begging practices through live streaming and giving gifts on social media. This activity is often carried out by displaying acts of humiliation or exploiting certain conditions in order to gain public sympathy, thus having an impact on weakening work ethics and economic independence of the community. From an Islamic perspective, work is a form of maintaining dignity, and the hadith emphasizes the virtue of giving rather than asking without urgent need. This study aims to describe the phenomenon of online begging, analyze the hadith about the prohibition of begging and the encouragement of independence, and explain its relevance to digital ethics. This research uses a qualitative approach with library research. The results of this study found that the phenomenon of online begging is not in accordance with Islamic work ethics. In the Islamic perspective, work is a noble activity and is part of worship, while begging without urgent need is a despicable act that damages one's honor. The Prophet's hadiths encourage Muslims to be productive, independent, and self-reliant. As stated in the hadith about the priority of the hands above is better than the hands below.
2025-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Fijrah Hayati Alis, Duski Samad, Firdaus Sutan Mamadhttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/lathaif/article/view/15890Larangan Riba dalam QS. This study begins with the following main questions: How do the two commentators interpret the verse, what are the differences in their approaches, and how do these differences contribute to explaining riba in the contemporary era? The method used is qualitative research based on literature review, examining primary sources in the form of two tafsir books and other supporting literature. The results show that both agree on the absolute prohibition of riba, but differ in their emphasis: Al-Qurtubi uses a textual fiqh approach, while Al-Mishbah prioritizes the social context and values of justice. These differences in approach enhance understanding that the prohibition of riba is not only normative legal but also related to ethics, justice, and protecting modern society from exploitative economic practices.
2025-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Budi Februari, Nurhayati, Yenni Samri Juliati Nasution https://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/lathaif/article/view/15885Analisis Hadis Aplikasi “Satu Hari Satu Hadis” pada Pusat Kajian Hadis Cinagara Bogor2025-12-03T23:47:05+07:00Ilham Mustafailhammustafa7@gmail.comArsal Arsalarsal@uinbukittinggi.ac.idHelfi Helfihelfi@uinbukittinggi.ac.id
This study aims to analyze the hadiths in the Satu Hari Satu Hadis application developed by the Center for Hadith Studies (PKH) in Cinagara, Bogor, as a digital- based religious learning medium. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this research collected data through document analysis of Sahih al-Bukhari hadiths on the PKH website. The study focuses on the application and the hadiths published within the Satu Hari Satu Hadis platform. The findings show that this application provides easy access for users through hadiths from Sahih al-Bukhari, thereby ensuring the quality and credibility of the material. Features such as daily notifications and monthly themes support user consistency in studying hadith. However, limitations such as reliance on a single hadith source, the absence of contextual explanations, and the lack of interactive features remain weaknesses that need attention. Thematic messages are arranged according to the Hijri months; for example, during Rabi‘ al-Awwal, the hadiths presented consistently discuss the personality of the Prophet Muhammad. This study recommends further development through the inclusion of additional hadith sources, scholarly contextualization, and discussion features to enhance user understanding and engagement. With such innovations, the Satu Hari Satu Hadis application can become a more effective medium for hadith learning in the digital era.
2025-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Ilham Mustafa, Arsal Arsal, Helfi Helfihttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/lathaif/article/view/16056Tashîf dan Tahrîf: Telaah atas Kesalahan Teks dalam Tradisi Islam2025-12-09T21:25:06+07:00Rizamul Malik Akbar240204220001@student.uin-malang.ac.idM. This study is significant as it reveals how variations in diacritical marks, letter forms, and semantic deviations can influence the understanding and authenticity of transmitted texts. The research aims to elaborate on the definitions, causes, and positions of taṣḥīf and taḥrīf within the framework of classical Arabic textual criticism. The study employs a qualitative approach through library research, drawing primarily from Taḥqīqu an-Nuṣūṣ wa Nashruhā by ‘Abd as-Salām Muḥammad Hārūn. The findings indicate that: (1) taṣḥīf is technical in nature, while taḥrīf involves semantic alteration; (2) their causes include technical, linguistic, and cultural factors; and (3) the treatment of taṣḥīf and taḥrīf in philology is carried out through methodological solutions such as tarjīḥ al-riwāyāt (weighing and preferring textual variants) and taṣḥīḥ al-akhṭā’ (correction of textual errors) as integral components of the practice of taḥqīq al-nuṣūṣ (critical editing of texts). This study affirms philology’s role as a discipline dedicated to preserving the integrity of texts and the intellectuall heritage of Islamic civilitazion.
2025-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Rizamul Malik Akbar, M. The research questions focus on: (1) how the talaqqi and mutaba’ah methods are applied in the memorization process, (2) the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and (3) their influence on students’ memorization outcomes. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the talaqqi method is implemented by having the teacher recite verses which are then repeated by the students, followed by direct correction during recitation sessions, with evaluation conducted through tasmi’ and testing. Meanwhile, the mutaba’ah method requires students to memorize independently before reciting to the teacher for correction, with similar evaluation procedures. The talaqqi method is effective in introducing the Qur’an to young learners and strengthening their understanding of tajwid, though it can be time-consuming and cause boredom. On the other hand, the mutaba’ah method encourages independence, consistent muraja’ah, and increased memorization, although it is influenced by internal student factors and external conditions. Overall, talaqqi is more effective in improving accuracy and retention of memorization, while mutaba’ah enhances fluency and the quantity of students’ memorization.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jihan Kesuma, Hafizzullah Hafizzullahhttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/lathaif/article/view/15880Tahqīq Kitab Bunnatul Jalīs wa Qahwatul Anīs Karya Sayyid Usman bin Yahya: Ingatan Kolektif dan Relevansi Pesan Moral bagi Komunitas Ba‘alawi di Nusantara2025-12-03T14:29:29+07:00Mohamad Mashudimohamadmashudi@uinbanten.ac.id
This study examines the manuscript Bunnatul Jalīs wa Qahwatul Anīs authored by Sayyid Usman bin Yahya (d. 1914), the Mufti of Batavia during the Dutch Colonial period, with the aim of making it accessible to a wider audience, particularly the Ba‘alawi community in the Nusantara. The research applies an accurate tahqīq method through traditional philological approaches, supported by the concept of collective memory as proposed by Maurice Halbwachs and later developed by Jan Assmann into the framework of cultural memory. It further analyzes the moral messages articulated in the text. This study differs from the work of Nico J.G. Kaptein, who mainly focuses on Sayyid Usman’s biography and provides only limited discussion of the text, as well as from the study of Naufal Alaf Ramdhan et al., which centers on the issue of ta‘addud al-jum‘ah in his work al-Ajwibah ‘ala Masā’il al-Jum‘ah. The findings reveal that Bunnatul Jalīs wa Qahwatul Anīs functions as a form of cultural memory. A thematic analysis of the 18 chapters in the manuscript identifies four major clusters of moral teachings: personal ethics, social ethics, religious ethics, and intellectual ethics. Sayyid Usman frequently draws on the sayings of classical scholars such as al-Ghazālī and Abū al-Hasan al-Shādhilī, as well as contemporary voices, particularly from the Ba‘alawi tradition itself, including Habīb ʿAbdullāh bin ʿAlawī al-Ḥaddād and Habīb ʿUmar bin Saqqāf. This research highlights the strong relevance of the manuscript to the social dynamics of the Ba‘alawi community in the Nusantara, especially amid current public debates on the role of ḥabāʾib in the digital era. Beyond its value as a literary heritage, the text serves as a living and adaptive instrument of moral advocacy across generations.

Keywords: Sayyid Usman, Bunnatul Jalīs, collective memory, moral teachings, Ba‘alawi, manuscript.

2025-12-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Mohamad Mashudi
