Therefore, comprehensive and sustainable educational interventions are needed to raise students' awareness of the forms of sexual harassment and violence. This community service is crucial to encourage prevention efforts through an educational approach that is youth-friendly, contextual, and participatory, so that students are not only able to recognize forms of violence, but also able to protect themselves, build healthy relationships, and become agents of change in their environment. The objectives of this Community Service are: (a) Increasing students' understanding of forms of sexual harassment and violence on social media, both explicit and covert; (b) Building students' critical awareness of the importance of maintaining boundaries and ethics in interacting in digital spaces; (c) Educating students about the concept of healthy relationships, which are based on respect, equality, and healthy communication; (d) Encouraging students' active participation in sexual violence prevention campaigns, especially on social media, through creative approaches based on their experiences; and (e) Cultivating a safe, inclusive, and violence-free school culture, through collaboration between schools, parents, and the community.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Ninil Elfira, Muhammad Alridho Lubishttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/marawa/article/view/16077Application of Archimedes' Law with Eggs as a Medium to Improve the Understanding of Fourth Grade Students at SD Negeri 07 Sungayang2025-12-20T21:35:40+07:00Kayana Tantrikayanatantri02@gmail.com
The Community Service Program KKN conducted in Sungayang District is one of the implementations of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the field of community service, particularly in primary education. This article aims to describe the application of Archimedes’ Principle using a simple medium, namely eggs, to improve the understanding of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 07 Sungayang. The study employed an experimental method with a pretest–posttest design involving 19 students as research subjects. The learning process consisted of four stages: preparation, pretest, experimental activities, and posttest. The findings indicate an improvement in students’ understanding, with the average pretest score of 51,6 increasing to 74,2 in the posttest, showing an average gain of 22,6 points. In addition to cognitive improvement, students also displayed greater enthusiasm, active participation, and confidence during the learning process. These results are consistent with constructivist learning theory and Piaget’s theory of cognitive development, which emphasize the importance of concrete experiences in understanding abstract concepts. Therefore, the use of eggs as a simple learning medium has proven effective as an alternative strategy for teaching science in primary schools, especially in contexts with limited laboratory facilities.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Kayana Tantrihttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/marawa/article/view/16079Community Education Through Training on Making Compost from Organic Waste2025-12-20T21:33:39+07:00Fhatya Mulyana Martafhatyamulyanamarta@gmail.com
Creating a sustainable and healthy environment is nevertheless hampered by the community's problems with organic waste disposal. Increasing community members' knowledge, understanding, and creativity in converting organic waste into compost fertilizer is the aim of this compost fertilizer training program. The activity was conducted in Jorong Taratak Indah, Nagari Sungayang, Sungayang Sub-district, Tanah Datar Regency on July 10, 2025, involving 25 participants and 14 KKN students. The methods used included outreach and socialization, starting with a communal dawn prayer, followed by a dawn sermon, then a presentation of theoretical material, and a two-hour practical session on compost making. The training results showed high enthusiasm from the participants, with numerous questions asked and a desire to practice at their respective homes. The activity also produced a sack of compost as an example of the product that can be produced. This training proved effective in providing practical knowledge to the community about managing organic waste into economically valuable products.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Fhatya Mulyana Martahttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/marawa/article/view/16214Spiritual and Welfare-Based Service and Service Guidance in Nagari Kumanis2025-12-28T19:34:35+07:00Syaiful Marwansyaifulmarwan@uinmybatusangkar.ac.idYose Rizalyoserizal@uinmybatusangkar.ac.idSarmen Arissarmenaris@uinmybatusangkar.ac.idIlhami Desrinailhamidesrina@uinmybatusangkar.ac.id
By using a sustainable and participatory Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this community service aims to improve the social and spiritual welfare of the Nagari Kumanis community. One way to encourage community empowerment is by combining spiritual principles, local culture, and community participation in community service programs. Community service activities are carried out in three main forms: the customary Bakaua nagari and Randai cultural arts performances; monthly wirid nagari with speakers from UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar; and coordination and evaluation of participation in village mentoring. The PAR methodology uses the stages of participatory planning, implementation, observation, and joint reflection. During the activity, traditional leaders, religious leaders, youth, village officials, and the community are the people who are being served. The results of the community service show that the customary Bakaua and Randai performances can increase social cohesion, cultural identity, and youth participation in preserving local values. Data collection was carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of activities. The monthly wirid nagari helps people in the community understand and be aware of their spirituality, and it also makes social ties stronger. Meanwhile, participatory coordination and evaluation help the community create and assess the community's own community service program. Overall, this commitment shows that PAR-based mentoring that combines cultural and spiritual elements well can improve the welfare of the village community in a comprehensive and sustainable manner
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Syaiful Marwan, Yose Rizal, Ilhami Desrina, Sarmen Arishttps://ejournal.uinmybatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/marawa/article/view/16086Institutional Capacity Building of Art Studios and Digital-Based Cultural Promotion in Solok Selatan Regency2025-12-30T09:28:51+07:00Khairunnisa Khairunnisakhairunnisa@isi-padangpanjang.ac.idMuhammad Syukri Erwin Erwinmsyukri@isi-padangpanjang.ac.idAryadwipa A.
