EXISTENCE OF TRADITIONAL GAMES IN MEETING THE NEED OF MOTORIC DEVELOPMENT PARTICIPANTS
Abstract
Traditional games as one of the local wisdoms have great challenges in their conservation efforts, especially in the digital age where technological innovation is also evolving. Shifting interests of learners who are more interested in the game in the form of applications affect the activity of motion, even culminate in the unmet fulfillment of the need for motoric development, especially rough motoric. However, the potential of traditional games in fulfilling the motoric needs of learners becomes a brilliant policy with its presence in the Curriculum 2013. In Indonesia there are some traditional games whose existence can still be maintained to meet the needs of motoric development of learners. This paper will discuss about some traditional games especially in Riau which is potential to fulfill the motoric development of elementary school age students.
