BUILDING POSITIVE TEACHER - STUDENTS RELATIONSHIP

Abstract

The aim of this article is to present how to build positive relationship between teacher and students in the classroom. The role of the teacher is not just to deliver knowledge to the students but also build positive relationship with them. Many studies have examined the importance of teacher-students relationships for studentsÔÇÖ learning outcome and studentsÔÇÖ motivation to learn. The design of this research was descriptive qualitative research. The collection of the data was done through documentations and interview. The research found that teacher must build positive relationship with the students in order to increase studentsÔÇÖ academic outcome and their motivation that needed to be successful in both academic and life lessons. Therefore, it should be the goal of every teacher to build positive teacher-students relationship in the classroom.
