STUDENTSÔÇÖ INTERACTION BETWEEN RELIGIOUS AND ETHNIC MINORITIES IN MULTICULTURAL SOCIETIES AND VALUES OF PANCASILA IN SMP MARIA PADANG CITY
Abstract
This research background of a unique student relationship and occurred in schools consisting of various religious and ethnic minorities in SMP Maria Padang . The existence of various problems that arose concerning the relationship diverse , but still not apparent how interaction of students multiculturalism.This study aims to determine how the social interaction of students of different ethnic and religious, Pancasila values espoused students in the school as well as the way the cultivation of multicultural values in schools. His research interests are the students who are in SMP Maria Padang.  The total number was 452 students, and the students were taken as people randomly interviewed selected in accordance with the data needed by researchers. Selection of research subjects based on the grouping of students based on ethnicity and religion are required according to preliminary data obtained from the preliminary findings of field surveys. This type of research is qualitative research, which is taking the data obtained in the form of descriptive picture. The picture described by the findings obtained and processed data from investigators. Data through qualitative research consisted of primary data and secondary data drawn from observation and free interviews and in-depth documentation and also done taking into view the data found. Data analysis techniques step taken by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion.. The findings show that the shape and type of social interaction of students showing the relationship in general is associative and dissociative inside the school. Associative form that shows the cooperation and accommodation. While the form of dissociative found any form of competition. Forms of competition and conflicts that exist in the school environment in general is the student activities that occur among ethnic Chinese, Minang, Batak, Javanese and between Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, and Buddhism is a competition that is individual, experienced and perceived by each student at the school in achieving or obtaining a certain goal. Furthermore, the students of SMP Maria have demonstrated the existence of the practice of the values of Pancasila in the move and interact in school. then also have been done by the schools of value investment as a binder and a unifying multicultural students in social interaction at school.References
