PENGEMBANGAN INTERAKSI EDUKATIF DALAM PENINGKATAN KREATIVITAS ANAK DI PESISIR PANTAI BARAT KOTA PADANG

Abstract

On the west coast of Padang City most of the population work as fishermen. Several studies have been conducted by experts, stating that ,in general, the quality of life of fishermen is lower than that of farmers and / or other communities. This needs attention, considering the impact on the quality of life of their children. In family education, for example, many families show poor communication with children, such as: rebuking, yelling, comparing, and saying harshly. The assistance method used is participatory and Community Based Research (CBR). In this mentoring activity, it is done by participating and doing social mobilization to build awareness of parents on what is meant by educative interaction and how to apply it in the family. The mentoring results show that there is an increase in insight, understanding and parenting skills about their educational interaction, motivation to improve their interactions with children, readiness to be an educative communicator for their children, being a mentor for other citizens, and being able to control themselves in communicating, and avoiding communicating silly or uneducative things.
