MOGUTAT CULTURE IN SOCIAL LIFE MONGONDOW INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES AS A LOCAL WISDOM
Abstract
The findings of the study aimed to describe the culture mogutat the marriage customs of ethnic Mongondow and know the principles and values contained serious benefits in people's lives. This culture first emerged from the activities of agricultural or farming, and then expanded on social activity like celebration of marriage, grief, etc. Mogutat is the participation of the community to help provide supplies such as food at meetings of previous kings. Mogutat is a system or technique cooperation for the mutual benefit bequeathed by the ancestors of the times Mokodoludut as punu or great leader first in Bolaang Mongondow, when ill and the doctors can cure then that is where the king held a celebration seven days and nights provide a banquet for guest, therefore the people adopt it until this moment in the life of society is based on a philosophy of life that is mototabian Mongondow ethnic, mototanoban and mototonpiaan. The approaches used are: sociology, customs, culture. As for the primary data from the elite adat.desa, the people who are mogutat, secondary data are netted from books, journals, and the results of previous researches. the implementation must have a rearrangement from the traditional elders. The mogutat carried out by the community must be able to guide the behavior of the community and the social relations between members of the ethnic group both in the District and Village Areas to be more realistic.
