PESANTREN DAN PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT (ANALISIS TERHADAP UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 18 TAHUN 2019)

Abstract

Empowerment is an effort to build community power by motivating, encouraging and raising awareness of the potential that is owned and trying to develop it. The ultimate goal of community empowerment activities is to improve community welfare, reduce unemployment and alleviate poverty. Community empowerment programs have become a strategic role for pesantren in contributing to sustainable development. How does the law on pesantren give institutional authority to community empowerment? Thus this study aims to analyze how government policies, namely Law Number 18 of 2019 concerning Islamic boarding schools in giving institutional authority to community empowerment. So that it is in line with the goals of sustainable development in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Theologically it is in line with the message of the Al Quran Surah Al Ma'un verses 1-7. The substance of the verse shows that Islam is a religion of humanity and society. The research approach in this paper uses a qualitative type of literature study. The results of this study indicate that Law No. 18 of 2019 has provided a strategic role for pesantren in carrying out community empowerment functions.
