HARMONY IN DIVERSITY ISLAMIC HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS: BETWEEN HOPE AND REALITY
Abstract
The 21 st century is the age globalization. It takes to impact on interdepedence,competition, and advances in science, information and commucation tecnology on
institution of Islamic Higher Education. Interdepedence describes things occured in a
country correlated with the other country (ies). This condition may lead to the change
of paradigm in terms of higher education institution manajement. The institutional
management should be prepared as the one which can give good services to
customers within some standards; coorporative, accurate, and quick services to
costumers. The problems are how well the position, condition, standarization,
accuration, and protection of Islamic higher education institutions to service
costumers or students in Indonesia and how learning system and developing science
in this age are. The aim of writing this paper is to describe the problems and
challenges faced by Islamic higher education institution, the expectations and
strategies particularly in accuracy point of view.
