MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN GURU DALAM MENGAJAR TEMATIK DI KELAS RENDAH DENGAN KEGIATAN PEER TEACHING PADA GURU DI SDN 27 PANGIAN
Abstract
This study discusses the problems related the low ability of the teachers at SDN 27Pangian in implementing the thematic learning in the lower grade. The purpose of
this study is to improve teachersÔǃ competence in applying thematic learning in lower
grade by using peer teaching at SDN 21 Pangian. The subjects of this research were
teachers who taught in low-grade second semester in the academic year 2014/2015 at
SDN 27 Pangian. This reseach used two cycles.Each cycle includes some activities.
They were planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of cycle I to cycle
II showed the increase of teachersÔǃ ability in teaching thematic in low grade by using
peer teaching activities. At the first cycle, the ability of teachers was not good. The
average was 74%. In the second cycle, the ability of teachers increased on excellent
category. The average score was 90%. This research conludes that the use of
thematic learning using peer teaching can improve teachersÔǃ competence.
