DISAIN PENDIDIKAN BERKARAKTER UNTUK MEMPERSIAPKAN GENERASI EMAS 2045

Abstract

Nowadays, Indonesia is up against human resources crisis, specifically the character
problem. The vision, mission, approach, strategies, and goals of character education
are not clear and ambiguous. Consequently, the character education in formal and nonformal
schools does not run effectively. Character is a relatively permanent mental
nature which influences peopleÔǃs thought, acts, and behaviors, good or bad. 2045
generation is called ÔÇ£characterized golden generationÔÇØ and should have positive
behaviors, akhlakul karimah, broad mind-set, high commitment, and good competence
based on al-QurÔǃan and Sunnah. Positif behavior is the reflection of the value of
Pancasila and human being. Akhlakul karimah is a good character without thought.
Commitment is loyalty. And competence is professionalism. The characters that 2045
golden generation should have are the main power to develop Indonesia as a gorgeous,
glorious, and prestigious country. The design of character education is needed to
prepare the 2045 golden generation.
