ANTISIPASI POTENSI KEKERASAN PADA ANAK MELALUI PENINGKATAN WAWASAN DAN PEMAHAMAN TERHADAP KONSEP KEHIDUPAN BERKELUARGA MAHASISWA IAIN BATUSANGKAR: ALTERNATIF MODEL BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING ISLAMI

Abstract

This research aimed at developing a model of islamic guidance and counseling to
improve studentsÔǃ insights and understanding toward the concept of family life in
anticipating potential child abuses. In order to achieve the aim, Research and
Development design was used. The Subjects of the research were students of Guidance
and Counseling Department of IAIN Batusangkar. The steps of the research were: 1)
Potentials and Problems, 2) Data Collection, 3) Prototype Design, 4) Prototype
Tryout, 5) Prototype Revision, dan 6) Limited Empirical Tryout of Revised
Prototype.The study showed that factors that contibuted to the child abuse were lack of
parentsÔǃ understanding toward their responsibility as husbands, wives and parents.
Furthermore, parents keeping busy outside affects the harmony of their family. Lack of
information and skills for children on how to protect from and deal themselves with
potential abuses were other contributing factors. The Model of islamic guidance and
counseling is as follows: 1) Present Conditions, 2) Infomation and Content services,
and 3) Expected conditions.
