RME SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA UNTUK MEMBANGUN GENERASI KREATIF DAN BERKARAKTER
Abstract
This article discusses the role of Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) inbuilding creativity and character of students. Most of students in Indonesia tended to
have difficulty in developing their creativity because there is less opportunity in
mathematics learning process. Nowadays character building also introduced by
government as one of Indonesian education aims. PMRI or Realistic Mathematics
education is one of mathematics learning Approaches that uses reality as the starting
point in the learning process. Characteristics of this approach are believed build
studentsÔǃ creativity and build studentsÔǃ Character. StudentsÔǃ creativity can be built by
contextual problem and studentsÔǃ character can be built by social interaction.
