ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIKA PESERTA DIDIK
Abstract
This is a field reseach performing diagnostic tests to analyze the difficulties oflearners in narrative form. Subject of the study were 21 students at SMAN 1
Rambatan, West Sumatera. They were given about the test designed to measure their
mathematical connection abilityby adjusting the questions to analyze their learning
difficulties. Interviews were conducted among students classified with learning
difficulties. The data were analyzed with data tabulation procedures, analyzing the
results of the test, reducing the data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. After
that, they were validated by using data triangulation. The results obtained, the
students turned out to have learning difficulties in mathematics are three kinds of
connection indicator. The difficulty is illustrated by the inability of students to
understand the concepts, symbols and spatial relations in trigonometry. The learnersÔǃ
inability to view visual objects such as identifying information about the overall and
not able to explain the information that learners get and learners are not able to
combine the visual and motor skills in solving a given problem.
