Abstract

Honesty and trust are two main capitals in a business. Business orientation,  in general,  is to gain maximum profit. While Islamic business orientation is to achieve benefit of both the world and the hereafter (falah-oriented), i.e. in the form of long-term victory in the world and the hereafter. Thus, Islamic bussiness not only emphasizes material aspect but also spiritual aspect of the shade and blessings of Allah SWT. Honesty and trust serve as very important  parts of Islamic business ethics. The main references of Islamic Business Ethics are the Koran and Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. At each stage of the business process, various traditions of the Prophet emphasizing honesty and trust are found. This stage starts from the production, marketing, ijab kabul, and distribution. This paper explains the implications of hadiths about honesty and trust in Islamic business ethics.
