TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION BY USING BUMPER STICKERS STRATEGY FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Abstract
Four skills in English that should be mastered by the students they are; listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Reading is one of skills in English that influence the students in learning. Reading a foreign language is not easy job for the students, therefore, it is needed the strategy to help the students in getting meaning and information in reading. Bumper stickers strategy is one ways to help the students in understanding the passage in reading comprehension. The purpose of this paper is to expose the use of bumper stickers strategy in teaching reading comprehension; in pre, whilst, and post reading activity for junior high school students. There are some literatures study used supports this strategy in teaching reading comprehension. It is recommended for the teacher to use this strategy in teaching reading comprehension in order to help the students in learning.
