Abstract

Education in schools have an important role in helping learners to achieve career direction in accordance with your values, interests and abilities. The participation of school personnel become the main basis in preparing learners in choosing a career, especially teachers guidance and counseling. But in preparing learners in choosing a career sometimes learners/clients are less able to have the ability to make decisions. Client centered counseling approach emphasizes the skills to determine an important choices for themselves and solving the problem himself. The underlying concept is that concerning the concepts of self (self), self-actualization, personality theory, and the nature of anxiety. Then the counselor should be able to have the knowledge and competencies in the field of career to be able to prepare students in choosing a career direction through career counseling approaches one clien centered. The approach is useful for learners to be successful and directed in the selection of careers in accordance with their competence.
