Abstract

The main problem in this study is the criteria for an ideal life partner in the perspective of the Qur'an (Study of Thematic Interpretation). The aim is to describe and analyze the criteria and benefits of having an ideal life partner in the perspective of the Qur'an. This type of research is library research. The analytical method used in this study is the thematic or maudhu'i interpretation method. While analyzing the interpretation using a hermeneutic approach. The primary data source of this research is the verses of the Qur'an relating to the criteria for an ideal life partner, then commentary books such as; the book Tafsir Al-Misbah by Quraish Shihab, the book Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka, and the book Tafsir An-Nur by Muhammad Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are the results of research or the original theoretical or theoretical writings, dictionaries, books, articles, and relevant journals. The results of this study are the criteria for an ideal life partner in the perspective of the Qur'an, namely staying loyal to your partner, maintaining self-respect, having a forgiving nature, having a responsible nature, caring for your family, having to be equal and equal, and having a sense of affection. As for the benefits of having an ideal life partner, namely giving pleasure in life, expanding sustenance, a place for sexual desire to flow, and a partner and children as eye conditioner.
