Strategi Promosi Perpustakaan dalam Meningkatkan Pemanfaatan Koleksi di Perpustakaan MTsN 17 Tanah Datar

The promotion strategy requires libraries to be maximized by librarians. The purpose of this research is to describe the promotion strategy, obstacles encountered, and efforts to improve the utilization of the collection in the MTsN 17 Landscape Library. This type of research is qualitative descriptive, using data collection techniques through observations, interviews, and documentation, and data analysis techniques ranging from data reduction, data presentation, data analysis, and conclusion drawings. The results of the research are: (1) The strategy used in library promotion activities is to determine the amount of funds needed for library promotional activities and the selection of the media used to carry out the promotion activities of such a library. As for the media that is used, the introduction of the madrasah for new students as well as the distribution of brochures to the students (2) The impediments to the promotion of libraries are controlled by insufficient costs for the promotion process. The recommendation in this study is that there should be a renewal of the promotion strategy and media promotion in the library. Efforts are made to address the obstacles by promoting the library using social media such as Instagram, Youtube, or Facebook, as well as using computer devices and projectors to promote directly to students, so that the implementation of library promotion can improve the use of the collection in an effective future.
