Fenomena "META" di Facebook Pada Ibu-Ibu, Refleksi Berkembangnya Media Sosial sebagai Platform Informasi, Mencari Dukungan dan Membangun Identitas

This study explores the phenomenon of "META" on Facebook that occurs among mothers as a reflection of the development of social media as a platform for information, seeking support, and identity construction. Utilizing a qualitative research approach of phenomenology, this study analyzes the activities of mothers on Facebook, including interactions, the use of features such as group discussions, and online self-presentation. The results of the study indicate that mothers use Facebook significantly as follows: First, mothers use Facebook as an important tool for disseminating information, particularly within the community environment. They form community groups, share educational articles and videos, use the 'Event' feature to organize meetings, and share emergency information. Second, Facebook becomes an important venue for mothers to seek support from other mothers. They can join various groups that suit their interests and needs, share experiences, tips, and advice on the role of motherhood. Third, Facebook also functions as a place for mothers to build their identity.
