PERAN DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY DALAM PEMBUATAN VIDEO PROFIL NAGARI KUMANIS

Penelitian ini dilihat dari peran Director of Photography pada video profil nagari kumanis. Peran director of photography dalam sebuah video sangat mendominasi dalam hal visualisasi. Namun teknik framing yang di lakukan oleh Director of Photography video profil belum menghasilkan video yang menarik. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian bahwa peran director of photography: (1) merancang story board, melakukan diskusi dengan assistant cameraman mengenai pembagian tugas tentang tipe-tipe shot. (2) mempersiapkan alat produksi yang dibutuhkan untuk pengambilan gambar. Teknik pengambilan gambar yang digunakan oleh director of photography adalah till down dan pan right pan left. Posisi kamera yang statis, untuk objek yang dinamis menggunakan hand held atau genggaman tangan. Jenis shot yang digunakan oleh director of photography adalah long shot, medium close up, close up dan big close up untuk memperjelas detail objek yang direkam. Kendala yang dihadapi director of photography adalah: (1) keterbatasan alat yang digunakan saat produksi, (2) Kurangnya pengetahuan assistant cameraman tentang teknik pengambilan gambar dan jenis-jenis shot serta komposisi dari setiap shot.References
