Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the "Gen Z Mental Health Movement" through positive educational activities managed by the Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) and Ikatan Pelajar Putri Nahdlatul Ulama (IPPNU) in Tegal Regency, as well as to measure its impact on student psychological well-being. Employing a mixed-methods approach with a sequential triangulation design, data were gathered through digital questionnaires from 27 active cadres across 18 districts, supplemented by focus group discussions (FGD). Quantitative analysis using the Guttman Scale revealed that the organizational engagement rate was exceptionally high at 98.15%. Concurrently, Likert Scale analysis indicated that the psychological well-being index of the cadres fell into the high category with a mean score of 2.69, where the purpose in life and daily happiness emerged as the strongest indicators. Qualitative thematic analysis confirmed that recreation-based religious activities serve as inclusive and effective stress decompression spaces for Gen Z, acting as a vital secondary support system. In conclusion, active organizational involvement significantly contributes to strengthening adolescents' psychological resilience against academic stress. It is recommended that a formal peer-counseling program be institutionalized across all sub-districts.
