FOCUS
Lughawiyah: Journal of Arabic Education and Linguistics publishes high-quality scientific works in the fields of Arabic language education and Arabic linguistics. The journal emphasizes original empirical research, innovative pedagogical practices, theoretical advancements, and critical literature reviews that contribute to the development of Arabic teaching, curriculum design, teacher professionalism, linguistic studies, and contemporary issues in Arabic language learning.
The journal aims to become a platform for generating new knowledge, promoting interdisciplinary approaches, and advancing scholarly discourse in Arabic education and linguistics across global and local contexts.
SCOPE
Lughawiyah welcomes manuscripts from researchers, academics, practitioners, and professionals in Arabic education and linguistics. Manuscripts addressing the following themes are particularly encouraged:
1. Teaching Arabic as a Foreign/Second Language (TAFL/TSL)
Research on pedagogical approaches, classroom practices, acquisition processes, and challenges in learning and teaching Arabic for non-native speakers.
2. Curriculum and Instructional Design for Arabic Education
Studies on curriculum models, syllabus development, textbook evaluation, learning trajectories, and competency-based or outcome-based Arabic education.
3. Methods, Approaches, and Strategies in Arabic Teaching
Innovations in teaching methods, blended learning, deep learning, differentiated instruction, communicative approaches, project-based learning, and other pedagogical frameworks.
4. Instructional Media and Educational Technology in Arabic Teaching
Development and evaluation of learning media, digital platforms, AI-enhanced tools, mobile learning, gamification, and ICT integration in Arabic classrooms.
5. Assessment, Evaluation, and Testing in Arabic Education
Design and validation of assessment instruments, measurement of language proficiency, evaluation models, classroom-based assessment, and large-scale testing in Arabic.
6. Professional Development and Arabic Teacher Education
Research on teacher competencies, training models, certification, teaching practicum, pedagogical content knowledge (PCK), and reflective teaching.
7. Arabic Linguistics (Theoretical and Applied)
