Peer Review Policy
Peer review practices aim to ensure that good manuscripts are published. This is a core process of good scientific publishing and is carried out in all reputable journals. Our reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of peer-reviewed manuscripts according to the procedures outlined below.

Initial Manuscript Evaluation
All new submissions are screened for completeness and adherence to the Author Guidelines. Successful manuscripts are then assigned to the Editor for consideration for peer review. Authors of manuscripts rejected at the initial evaluation stage will typically be notified within one month of receipt.

Editor's Evaluation
When assigned a new submission, the Editor will decide whether the manuscript is worthy of peer review or whether it should be rejected without review. Manuscripts rejected at this stage are considered to lack originality, have serious conceptual and/or methodological flaws, have poor grammar, or fall outside the aims and scope of the journal.

Authors of manuscripts rejected at this stage will typically be notified within one month of being assigned to the Editor.

The editor provides feedback on all manuscripts rejected without review and, where possible, makes suggestions regarding other appropriate publication channels.

Manuscripts deemed suitable for peer review are forwarded to at least two expert reviewers for review.
Type of Peer Review
Elementary Education Professions uses blind peer review, where reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

How Reviewers Are Selected
Reviewers are matched to papers based on their expertise.

Reviewer Report
Reviewers are asked to evaluate manuscripts based on:
1. Originality and significance of the contribution
2. Focus and scope of relevance
3. Adequacy of methodology, analysis, and interpretation
4. Clear and concise writing style
5. Organization
Reviewers are asked to provide anonymous comments to the author and are also given the option to provide confidential comments to the editor. Comments to the author are also available to other reviewers of the manuscript.

Reviewers are not expected to proofread or edit manuscripts. Correction of language is not part of the peer review process.

How Long Does the Review Process Take?

Manuscripts are typically reviewed within 90 days. If reviewer reports conflict or reports are unreasonably delayed, further expert opinion will be requested. If necessary, revised manuscripts can be returned to the original reviewers, usually within one month. Reviewers and the Editor may request more than one revision of a manuscript, and alternative reviewers can also be invited to review a manuscript at any time.

Final Decision and Publication Timing
The Editor is responsible for the decision to reject or recommend a manuscript for publication. This decision will be sent to the author along with any recommendations made by the reviewers.

Please note that we may forward accepted papers for legal review if appropriate.

Once accepted, it currently takes one week to receive an uncorrected, citable draft of the article online, another four to five weeks to receive the final, corrected article online, and a few weeks later, this is compiled into an online volume and issue. Print copies follow 2 to 3 weeks later.
