ZAWA: Management of Zakat and Waqf Journal aims to serve as an international academic forum that facilitates discussion, research, and the development of knowledge in the field of zakat and waqf. This journal is committed to publishing innovative, relevant, and sustainable scholarly works, while encouraging contributions from researchers, practitioners, and academics both nationally and internationally. Through a double-blind peer review system, ZAWA: Management of Zakat and Waqf Journal ensures the quality and integrity of its publications in accordance with international academic ethical standards.
The scope of ZAWA: Management of Zakat and Waqf Journal covers theoretical and empirical studies related to the history and development of zakat and waqf at local, national, and global levels; institutional management of zakat and waqf; productive waqf models and innovations in zakat management; policies, regulations, and governance of zakat and waqf; the role of government, scholars, and society in strengthening zakat and waqf; strategies for empowering communities through zakat and waqf; digitalization and the use of technology in zakat and waqf management; challenges, obstacles, and solutions in zakat and waqf implementation; as well as contemporary issues in Islamic philanthropy and Islamic economics.
ZAWA: Management of Zakat and Waqf Journal is an open-access scholarly journal published by the Institute of Research and Community Service, Universitas Islam Negeri Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. This journal is issued twice a year, in June and December.
