Author Guidelines

The submitted paper should follow these guidelines:

  1. Authors should make their submissions via the online submission system so that their papers can be sent for review.
  2. Papers must contain at least 2500 words, including the references.
  3. All references must strictly follow the APA style (7th edition). DOIs must be included where available. If DOI is not available, insert another URL where the material was taken from.
  4. The abstract must be in a single paragraph and between 150–250 words.
  5. The conclusion must be in a single paragraph and between 175–300 words.
  6. Authors may use either American English or British English in their paper but not a combination of both. Authors should state clearly, while submitting their paper, which type of English they have used. If forgotten, they are requested to send an email to zawa@uinmybatusangkar.ac.id to inform us of the type of English used.
  7. Guidelines for APA referencing (7th edition) can be found at: General Format.
  8. The template can be downloaded by clicking on the PAPER TEMPLATE link. You may also email zawa@uinmybatusangkar.ac.id to receive a copy via email.
  9. References must be complete and strictly follow APA 7th Edition. If the DOI of an article is not available, provide the URL of the webpage.
  10. If your paper has a survey, add the survey questions at the end of the paper in an appendix after the references. Avoid supplementary files. If submitting supplementary documents, send an email explaining the contents. Submit all supplementary documents in MS Word format unless not possible.
  11. Papers must be written in good English. Poorly written papers may be rejected. Authors whose native language is not English are required to use an editing service before submission.
  12. The submitting author must ensure that names and affiliations of all authors are properly added. Adding new authors after acceptance requires full justification and editorial board approval.
  13. Papers not submitted according to the guidelines will be rejected.
