Author Guidelines
- The Journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines in Sharia and law.
- Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals.
- Articles should be written in Indonesian, Arabic, English, or other international languages.
- The manuscript contains scientific studies of shari’ah sciences.
- Submissions must contain the following elements:
- Title placed at the center using Capitalized Bold, 13 pt font size. Section headings use bold or bold italic without numbering.
- Author name (without academic degree), followed by affiliation and email.
- Abstract in English if the article is in Indonesian, and in Indonesian if the article is written in English, Arabic, or other languages.
- Abstract contains 100–200 words.
- Keywords consist of 3–7 concepts.
- Paper format:
- Introduction: explains theoretical background, related research, practical applications, and purpose of the article.
- Literature Review: provides knowledge mapping, theories, and concepts using reputable journal articles published within the last 10 years.
- Methods: describes research type, participants, materials, procedures, treatments, and data analysis.
- Results and Discussion: results must be clear; discussion explains significance without repeating the results.
- Conclusion: presents main conclusions, either separately or as part of the discussion/ results section.
- References: listed alphabetically. All cited references must appear in the list.
- Manuscripts must follow scientific writing rules and the following requirements:
- Typed using Book Antiqua.
- Font size 11 pt.
- Line spacing 1.0.
- Paper size A4.
- Length: 4,500 – 6,000 words, including abstract and references.
- Submitted article must include the manuscript file and short author bio, uploaded through OJS at ojs.iainbatusangkar.ac.id/ojs/index.php/juris.
- Foreign words/phrases are written in italics, while Arabic–Latin transliteration follows SKB 2 Menteri.
- Compound Arabic words (idhafiyah) are written separately, e.g., Al-Islam wa Ushul al-Hukm, al-adalah al-ijtima’iyah.
- All cited publications must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
- Bodynotes contain the author’s name, year, and page (APA style), e.g., (Iska, 2005: 47).
- References must be up to date (last 5–10 years), minimum 30 references, 80% from reputable primary sources. Authors are responsible for completeness and accuracy.
- References follow alphabetical order, chronological arrangement, using Mendeley with APA 7th edition format. Examples:

- Quotation, table, and figure format follows EYD (Depdikbud, 1987) for Indonesian; English articles use standard styles.
- Authors may revise manuscripts based on reviewer/editor recommendations.
- Articles not meeting guidelines or containing many errors will be rejected. The journal accepts only online submissions. Published articles in PDF are freely accessible.
- Licensing, citation permissions, and software usage related to the manuscript are the author’s full responsibility.
