Abstract

Some philosophical musings The human soul is produced whenever a suitable body is born. Unlike the soul, which needs the body to think, the soul does not have physical functions. This study investigates Ibn Rusyd's soul, which includes his active and passive intelligence, as the precursor to the modern internet. In this qualitative, descriptive study, the author answers questions in depth. The author uses Ibn Rusyd's works and those of persons who explore his ideas about those figures directly related to him. This analysis found that Ibn Rusyd introduced rationalism, the belief in reason as the essential tool for truth. Rationalist Ibn Rusyd opposed Aristotle's soul hypothesis. Ibn Rusyd considered all humans to have one impersonal soul. This teaching is monopsychism. The soul of mankind is one. Ibn Rusyd believed that humans produce truth through their brains, not their bodies. For mankind to create global truth. Passive and active intelligence generates universal truth. Finally, this analysis suggests that Ibn Rusyd's ideas on human passive intelligence are just different from active intellect. Passive and active intellect are related to the internet and a computer, laptop, or mobile that can access several networks. In the Information Technology era, Ibn Rusyd's ideas were the seed of the Internet.
