This research examines the existence of Waqf for the Bride-to-Be (Catin) from the perspective of Islamic law and its implementation in West Sumatra. WakafCatin is an innovation in Islamic philanthropy that invites couples to give cash waqf at the time of marriage to support social and economic programs. Through a normative law approach, this research examines the legal basis of cash waqf based on Law No. 41/2004 on Waqf. The results show that this program has great potential to raise funds of up to IDR420 million per year from 42,000 weddings. The funds are used to support the economic resilience of families and to provide education to underprivileged children. Challenges such as low waqf literacy and limited access to Islamic financial institutions are obstacles. With better management and socialization, Wakaf Catin can be an effective economic instrument for Muslim development.
